There is an important relationship between voter turnout and the design of the electoral process. In order to maximize the turnout for the election of the president of the MNC, accessibility and opportunity to vote should be taken into consideration for the selected voting system. For the Métis Nation, much of the consideration for the selection of a system should take into account large rural regions and the accessibility of polling stations, the ability for people including elders or people with young families to vote on Election Day and accessibility of new voting technologies, such as internet voting. The marketing or advertising of the election may also play a part in voter turnout.
What should the MNC do to maximize voter turnout on Election Day?
Are there supports or services you think the MNC should provide to assist citizens get out to vote? (E.g., ride programs to pick up and drop off voters, daycare or babysitting options for parents with young families)
